UTS enforces a security policy for all USF network account passwords.  The password complexity requirements are as follows:

  1. Must not contain all or part of your username
  2. Must be at least 8 characters in length
  3. Must contain characters from three (3) of the following four (4) categories:
    1. Uppercase letters (A through Z)
    2. Lowercase letters (a through z)
    3. Numbers or Digits (0 through 9)
    4. Non-alphanumeric symbols or characters (for example: @,%,$)

You cannot re-use any of your recent passwords.

If you are on campus, you may change your password by logging into a campus computer with your old password. Once the desktop appears, you can press CTRL+ALT+DEL in order to bring up an option named Change Password.

For off campus users, you will need to use the self-service Password Protection Program. Enrolling your account in the program will allow you to change your password, reset your password or unlock your account, from anywhere. This application allows you to set security questions that must be answered correctly in order to change your password.  Once enrolled, you will receive email notifications reminding you of password expirations.
